#BePrepared

The Scout Troop is for Young People with a passion for adventure and is the forth section in our Scout Group. Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp.
You will meet new people, making friends and have fun trying exciting activities such as climbing, pioneering, canoeing and so much more.

What have we been up to?

We get up to so much!

Badges

At Cubs, there are lots of badges to earn. You can do lots of them at home as well as on Pack nights!

Uniform

What Scouts wear

Scouts wear a uniform during their weekly meetings and sometimes on trips away, depending on where they're going and what they're doing. Usually, this consists of a teal green shirt or blouse with their badges sewn on and a coloured necker to represent the 7th Southampton (Bassett) Scout Group.

They can where our Group Polo Shirt underneath. For bottom half uniform, Scouts wear navy blue activity trousers, shorts, skirt or black school trousers, shorts or skirt with black shoes.

There are lots of other optional accessories you can wear such as hats, hoodies.

Why uniform is important

Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out and helps everyone feel part of the Pack. It also gives you a place to show off all the badges you earn.

Where to buy your uniform

Uniform can either be bought from our online shop - Scout Store - or from a local supplier. If you’re not sure where to start, adult volunteers can give you more information about what to buy and where to buy it. You can order a Group Polo Shirt from your Section Leader.
