There has been Scouting in Bassett since 1914. The 7th Southampton (Bassett) Scout Group has given thousands of Young People the Scouting Adventure, helping them grow, learn Skills For Life and teaching them to always Be Prepared.

Group News

There has been backwards cooking, toasted marshmallows, BBQs, a coronation party, two special Group celebrations and campfire songs a plenty, but after 4 long years braving all weather, this week the wooden benches around the campfire area are being broken up.

Starting off as a lockdown project in 2020, these wooden pallet benches have surrounded the fire pit giving everyone a place to sit warm and merry. After all that time, they have started to rot beyond repair and a paint. So out come the axe and the sledge hammer.

They are making way for a VERY EXCITING NEW PROJECT! Watch this space... literally.

We do not have on site parking or vehicle access for parents.

Parking for drop off and pick up of your Young People can be found up in Vermont Close, please ensure you adhere to all parking regulations sign posted.

For authorised access, please talk to your section leader or our GSL.

Please DO NOT park in the Red Lodge Community Pool car park.
